Colon Cancer is the 2nd leading cause of cancer deaths in the U.S.
Know the Risks:
- Age Over 50 Years
- History of Colorectal Polyps
- Family or Personal History of Cancer
- Diet High in Fat/Obesity
- Lack of Exercise
- Smoking
- Alcohol Consumption
Who Should Get Screened:
- EVERYONE age 50yrs +
- Anyone age 40yrs + with a family history of colorectal cancer or polyps, or 10 years prior to the age of the youngest First Degree Relative at Diagnosis
- Anyone with a change in bowel habits, rectal bleeding, a history of IBS, or other GI complaints should be evaluated by a professional for signs of colorectal cancer
