RMGA is devoted to the care of patients with diseases and disorders of the digestive tract, including the esophagus, stomach, small instestine, colon, liver, biliary tract and pancreas. We see patients primarily on referral from other physicians, but do accept self referrals if a patient’s condition warrants our involvementĀ and the patient does not require a referral from a primary care physician.

Flexible Sigmoidoscopy
A flexible sigmoidoscopy is an exam of the left side of your large intestine. This exam is also an important tool in the prevention and early detection of colon cancer and the diagnosis of other colon diseases. Learn More

ERCP
Endoscopy retrograde cholangiopancreatography is an endoscopic exam that allows access to the biliary tract and pancreatic duct. This exam allows for the removal of biliary tract stones, diagnosis of biliary tract cancer, treatment of biliary strictures, and the treatment of pancreatic strictures.

EUS
Endoscopic ultrasound is an upper endoscope with an attached ultrasound at the tip which allows for diagnosis of tumors of the pancreas and tumors under the deeper layers of the esophagus, stomach, small intestine, and rectum.

Video Capsule Endoscopy (VCE)
This is a pill camera which allows us to diagnose diseases of the small intestine, such as tumors, ulcers, sources of bleeding, and Crohn’s disease.

Esophageal Motility, pH/Impedance, and Bravo
These studies allow us to diagnose motility disorders of the esophagus in people who have difficulty swallowing. They also give us more information on acid reflux in people who do not respond to treatment with medicine.

This is a procedure that is performed with an upper endoscopy that allows us to treat Barrett’s esophagus.
